Family therapy is a form of counseling that helps family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships. It’s based on the idea that a family is a system—when one person struggles (e.g., a teen with depression or behavioral issues), it affects the whole family, and vice versa.
What Happens in Family Therapy?
I will meet with some or all family members to:
Explore patterns of communication and behavior
Identify sources of conflict or stress
Develop healthier ways of interacting
Encourage empathy and understanding
Set goals and create solutions together
Sessions can involve the whole family or just certain members, depending on the situation.

Adolescent behavioral issues
Parent-teen conflict
Divorce or remarriage
Mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, addiction)
